Creating a Quiet Space for Prayer
You do not need an entire room to make space for prayer. Sometimes a chair, a familiar page, and a few unhurried minutes are enough.

Begin with a place you already love
Choose a quiet corner you can return to: beside a window, at the end of a dining table, or next to your favorite chair. Let it be a place that belongs to everyday life, not one that has to look perfect.
Keep only what helps you be present
A Bible, a notebook, and gentle light can be enough. Leave space for your hands and your book. If you include a lamp, set it on a stable surface and follow its instructions. The objects are reminders, not requirements for prayer.
Make a small rhythm your own
Try a few minutes before the household wakes or after the day settles. Read a short passage, offer thanks, or simply sit in silence. There is no need to turn a meaningful moment into another task to complete.
Leave room for ordinary days
Some days will feel peaceful; others will feel distracted. Your space is there to welcome you back, not to measure how well you are doing. Start where you are, with the time you have.
A little light. A deeper meaning.
